‘A Peculiar History…’ do a great range of pockets sized, fun but quirky fact books on History. This one is on Rations!

Did you know, for example, that a man named Philip Wrigley convinced the American Army that his ‘chewing gum’ was an essential part of a soldiers equipment! He claimed it helped relax the soldier and cleaned his teeth! The army believed him and he was asked to supply every soldier with his ‘chewing gum’…. Now I wonder what company that could be – how amazing is that!

With a nice layout, and fun facts left, right and centre, this awesome little book becomes quite a read.

The same author also does one on Victorian servants, the Tudors, royal Kings and Queens, etc – all of which we have in stock.

The book is nice and hand-size – measuring 10.5cm x 15.5cm (roughly 4″ x 6″) and it’s got a lovely spine to it and is in Hardback form.
